About the product
Asil Browser was an early browser from the team behind Kahf. Its public source code shows a build based on Brave, released under the Asil name, and the organization that hosts it is now called Kahf Browser.
According to the organization’s GitHub page, it published separate repositories for each platform: an Android build forked from Firefox for Android, an iOS build forked from Brave’s iOS browser, and a Chromium-based core alongside the original Brave-based one. A top-level “asil-browser” repository describes the product as a “Halal Asil browser for Android, macOS, Windows”.
The Asil organization on GitHub was marked archived in March 2025, so this page describes the browser as it was built rather than a product you can download today.
