About Browser Developers
Browser Developers is a browser engineering team. We build and maintain custom Chromium and Firefox browsers, browser extensions and cross-platform desktop apps for clients, and we keep them current after launch.
About the role
You will take a client brief and turn it into a working browser on Chromium: interface changes, built-in features, policies, packaging and the build pipeline that produces signed releases.
Responsibilities
- Implement browser features and interface changes on a Chromium base.
- Set up and maintain the build, signing and installer pipeline for Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Work with clients on scope, milestones and what is realistic to build.
- Test builds on each target platform before handover.
Requirements
- Experience building or modifying a Chromium-based browser.
- Working knowledge of C++ and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with the Chromium build system and repository workflow.
- Clear written communication with clients and teammates.
Nice to have
- Experience with Brave, Edge or another Chromium fork.
- Code signing, installers and auto-update work.
- Group Policy or enterprise browser management.
