About Browser Developers
Browser Developers is a browser engineering team. We build and maintain custom Chromium and Firefox browsers, browser extensions and cross-platform desktop apps for clients, and we keep them current after launch.
About the role
You will build extensions that run in the browsers your clients already use, from small tools to products with accounts and sync, and get them through store review.
Responsibilities
- Build Manifest V3 extensions with service workers, content scripts and popups.
- Port extensions between Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave and Safari.
- Handle store submission and review feedback.
- Keep extensions working as browsers change their extension APIs.
Requirements
- Strong TypeScript or JavaScript and the WebExtensions APIs.
- Experience publishing an extension to at least one browser store.
- Understanding of extension permissions, content security policy and message passing.
- Comfort debugging in browser DevTools.
Nice to have
- Safari Web Extension packaging on macOS.
- declarativeNetRequest rules and other Manifest V3 limits.
- Playwright or similar for extension testing.
